Welcome to the 2024 Boone Forest Rally!
As the Director, Chairman and Clerk of the Course, Erik Hubbard, Mark Everett and John Buffum, are
excited to invite you to compete in this ARA designated Super Regional rally in and around McKee,
Kentucky on July 26 -27, 2024.
The 2024 Boone Forest Rally promises to be a bit different from last year’s event, featuring a series of 6
new and challenging stages that will be run over the course of two afternoons through the Boone
Forest. The new stage roads will be run on mostly smooth, hard surfaces that possess plenty of
character to keep you focused, busy and challenged. They are NOT car breakers.
Also new this year is the location of the 2024 Service Park at the McKee High School. The school is a
central location to each of the 2 days of competitive stages, and it’s close to the Shakedown Stage.
The high school’s location offers us plenty of room for service teams to spread out and be comfortable,
as well as to centralize regroups and refuel.
So, you can show off your cars to the enthusiastic spectators, the Parc Expose’s will be in three different
locations, showcasing three towns in the area. In addition, there will be 4 official spectator locations,
two each day. Service crews should be able to spectate at one of the locations each day.
On each of the 2 competition days, teams will have the opportunity to recce that day’s stages in the
morning, with competition starting in the late afternoon, after the heat of the day. Additional recce
time will also be available on Thursday for selected stages.
As an ARA Super Regional event, the Tech, Scoring, Stage Control teams, Communication/Radio teams,
Event Stewards, and Event committee members will be staffed by a large group of experienced rallyists,
eager to do their part to help ensure that the Boone Forest Rally is a fair, on time, and challenging rally.
A hallmark of John’s and Mark’s events.
Special thanks are due to the residents of McKee, Erik Hubbard and Jamie Strong, Boone Forest Service,
the State of Kentucky, County Commissioners, Police, Ambulance and EMT’s, and the many, many
volunteers who will be marshals on the stages, for without their support, this event could not take
place.
We look forward to seeing you in McKee!
